So, so nice to have the pleasure of working with a great business with knowledgeable, decent, high integrity folks. I'll go back. Situation: the car horn on my old Mercedes SL went out this morning. Drats. Love the old thing, but it needs - ahem - a lot of love and patience. My husband usually takes the car to a mechanic in San Bruno. I had no time to get down there. Looked on my phone at the Yelp app. I had an hour in the morning. Could I do the impossible and actually TAKE CARE of this immediately? And not just by anyone - but professional, honest folks who could do this fast? I know, it's a LOT to ask. The magic trio. Usually very, very hard to find. Well - Pete's had some good recos on Yelp and was close by. I took a deep breath and decided to try it. Called. While they were full - whomever answered the phone sounded friendly (and knowledgeable) and he let me scoot in (it was 7:45 a.m. and the mechanics get there at 8). The deal: if it was just a fuse, they'd handle it right away - otherwise, I'd have to schedule another time & come back so they could do a diagnostic (and he outlined a couple of things that made sense to me). whew. Straight talking professional on the phone. All seemed headed in the right direction. 4 minutes later. I park my car, leave my keys, have a quick chat - and then go into the waiting room to make a few phone calls. Ten minutes later I hear the friendly toot of my horn. HURRAH!! I see the mechanic exiting my car - talk to the fellow behind the counter. I take my credit card out. He grabs some paperwork printing and tells me the price: "that'll be $1.65." WHAT?! I know a fuse is cheap and that it took minutes, but still! You got to appreciate the honesty and good will. I asked him about the labor cost and he chuckled. I took two $1 bills out of my wallet and paid him. Too good to be true, I have literally been walking with a slight bounce in my step all day. Yes, "little things" like this can make me happy. :) Another plus: looks like I have someone I can bring my car back to - that's here in the city. THANK YOU!

I really like these guys. I'll be taking my car back for any service/mechanical problems as long as I own a Benz.

I wouldn’t trust my classic MBZ to any shop other than Pete’s. Mostly all I need is maintenance, but what they do is always great. Thank you, Pete’s!

At Pete’s, I get much better service than I get at the Mercedes dealer. They do what is necessary and don’t try to sell me on all the expensive extras. I appreciate that.

I have been having my cars serviced here ever since I moved to San Francisco, around 10 years ago. It's so important to know & trust the people who are working on your car. As someone who keeps a car for a long time, a dependable shop where you can have a relationship with the staff is critical. Also important is being able to communicate with the person responsible for the work. Mario and the staff of skilled mechanics provide outstanding customer service time after time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend 'Pete's' to anyone !

When my 1971 Mercedes 220D sprung a serious oil leak I called Pete’s, and Mario said, “bring it right over.” I had to have the car towed to the shop, but they did the work and it was ready the next day! The mechanics went through the car and pointed out other things that need attention, such as my tires (which I knew needed to be replaced). I’ve never had such a speedy recovery!

Always dependable, reliable, excellent service and turnaround. Experienced, courteous staff. An affordable alternative to the dealer for MBZ or BMW, in or out of warranty.

I have had all of my cars serviced at Pete's for years and have never had a problem. My experiences have always been positive. All work was done properly and in a timely manner. Mario, Kevin, Ray et al. are always polite and honest. My next car will be a Mercedes too as I trust Pete's.

Pete’s has serviced two of our Mercedes. Mario, the service writer is smart, listens to you, and is more than fair with pricing. He anticipates what needs to be done and is always right on with his analysis. I would recommend Pete's 100 times over for taking care of your car.

I've taken my benz here for service 3-4 times and left happy every time. Their prices are fair for San Francisco and I never feel like they're pulling my leg, they've also never insisted that I have any work done but were honest about the cars needs and condition. Recently I took my car in for B-Service, they did job gave me their recommendations on what they found and I was comfortable with that - they even showed me what to look for to help me gauge when these problems were becoming more urgent. They gave my car a passing grade of a B. Prior to this they put a front license plate on for me - I bit the bullet after to many tickets! turns out the mount isn't painted - meaning must be sent out - I didn't really want to wait - so they came up with an alternative - spray painting it! I was hesitant at first but once they assured they wouldn't put it on if it looked retarded I said go for it - so they did and looks great and it saved me $$$. I really like these guys - I'll be taking my car back for any service/mechanical problems as long as I own a benz.
